There are many different transportation options for UConn students, faculty and staff. Below is a brief list of some resources you may find helpful. U-Pass for free travel
Students are eligible for a U-Pass which allows them free travel on many bus and train routes in Connecticut, including CT Transit and WRTD. Visit http://upass.uconn.edu for more information and registration.
Where are you trying to get to?
Housing on Hunting Lodge Road, Birch Lane, North Eagleville Road and Downtown Storrs:
Windham Region Transit District operates free shuttle routes that connect campus with some off-campus locations
Housing and services on South Eagleville Road:
UConn Transportation Services has stops at Mansfield Apartments that could help you connect to campus.
Windham Region Transit District has stops at a variety of locations on South Eagleville Road on its Storrs-Willimantic Route, which is free for students with a U-Pass
Housing and services along CT-195, in Mansfield Center and in Willimantic:
Windham Region Transit District has stops along CT-195 and in adjacent neighborhoods on its Storrs-Willimantic Route, which is free for students with a U-Pass. Free transfers onto other buses can connect you to other places including Norwich and more areas in Willimantic.
Hartford, Tolland, Manchester:
CT Transit’s 913 Express Service operates regular bus service which is free with a U-Pass. Stops near campus include East Campus, Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center in Downtown Storrs and Four Corners.
Peter Pan connects Storrs to Hartford, Providence and other destinations. Stops near campus include one in South Campus and the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center in Downtown Storrs.
