You are responsible for maintaining your yard and keeping it free of trash. If you do not, you may be cited or fined by your town based on local ordinance.

Mansfield Recycling and Waste Info for Students
If you live in an apartment, trash and recycling service is provided for you. Your trash goes in the dumpster, but recyclables – things like cardboard boxes, plastic containers, magazines and much more – should be placed in either the labeled oversized cans or yellow-lidded recycle dumpster next to or near the trash dumpster. If you live in a house, trash and recycling service may not automatically be provided for you. Ask your landlord or contact the Mansfield Recycling Coordinator at 860-429-3333 to find out.
